The Amalner Co-op is a place of honor for all in the land sanctified by the karmabhoomi of a patriot like Pujya Sane Guruji, the pious land of a great saint like Pujya Sakharam Maharaj and the industrial land of a philanthropist like Mr. Pratapshet. Urban Bank Ltd. After completing 98 years of its illustrious career, it stands on the threshold of a century. This bank with such Khandesh Bhushan.
This is an attempt to bring to light the memory of the bank's establishment on the global stage through the "website". This memory will certainly not fail to overwhelm the heart of a person who loves the bank. The memory of the people who sacrificed their lives for this organization and their bodies are crowded in our minds. This is an attempt to bring to light the known-unknown memories of that servo.
From 1923-24, the idea of establishing an organisation on cooperative basis was inspired by the intention of providing financial concessions and facilities to the industrialists of Amalner city, small and big traders of the society, financially weak, middle class from low income group in times of need. Mr. As Mahadev Govind Bhalerao Vakil, a lawyer, was interested in the cooperative movement, he pitched the idea to some prominent people in the city. Honored as Bhushan of Amalner city. Hon. Shrimant Motilal Manakchand alias Pratap Sheth, a famous industrialist of the city. Hon. Jehangir Bhikaji Sheth Tamboli, a well-known businessman. Mr. Nagardas Waghji Sheth, Kai. Mr. Pasubhai Shivjisheth, Kai. Mr. Baheramsha Kawasji Bharucha, Kai. Mr. Atmaram Gangaramsheth, Kai. Bhikaji Ramchandrasheth, Kai. Mr. Virchand Ratanchandsheth, as well as prominent Sadgrihastha Kai. Mr. Neelkanthrao Dagdu Deshmukh, Kai. Mr. Piran Chotu Bagwan, Shri. Balukaka Bhagwat, Dr. Nulkar et al. Eminent persons of the city got together and discussed and it was unanimously decided that a civil bank should be established at Amalner on a cooperative basis.
In terms of the establishment of the bank and in terms of the work to be done after the establishment of the bank, everyone divided the work and started their own work. Kai Jahangir Bhikaji-Sheth Tamboli agreed to come to the bank daily to monitor the affairs and check the accounts. Mr. m. Go. Bhalerao Vakil decided to guide the bank from time to time. Kai Mr. Pratapsheth agreed to extend all cooperation to the bank. Resolutions made by great people always bear fruit. All of them took the leave of Sankalpsiddhi and the fruit of it is D.
